A long silence

I have fallen long and hard off the blogging bandwagon. The lives we live here in the Prairie has been quiet and mostly uneventful. We have had a busy summer, and now that autumn has started to come down and turn, we can talk about it.

Tim and I started the summer with a bang, going to a bunch of Family Reunions and Weddings in the Greater Michigan Area in early July, putting 1100 miles behind us on a rental car and visiting with old friends we haven't seen in far too long. It was a good and very busy trip. Most people take summer vacations to relax: we apparently do the exact opposite. There is a lot of love and happiness in our world right now and this is the best thing we could have asked for.

A few weeks later our entire family took a "Good Old Timey Family Vacation"/5th Anniversary Trip/Honeymoon to Italy for a week of jetsetting and tourist destinations. It was a wonderful trip and we all had good old time. As adults we can enjoy a little more fully the experiences of eating, drinking and just overall fun of the place. We got to know some new family members from the wedding a month prior.

Tim is pleased because he now has a stamp in his passport. And we have a few fun stories about our first International Air Travel experiences together, which we can tell you in due time if you ask or want me to.

As it stands now we are focusing on the future: Tim is studying for his GMAT for grad school and I am looking into programs I'd like to take, but as of yet have not made the decision to start studying for the GRE.  Things will fall into place soon enough, and I hope to write more in the very near future.
